List of nominees for the 2024 Victory Cup award categories

*Sportswoman of the Year:

1) Diep Thi Huong (Canoeing, Vinh Phuc) won 1 gold medal at the Asian Championships and 1 gold medal at the Asia U23

2) Pham Thi Hue (Rowing, In Nẵng) won a gold medal in the double sculls at the Asian Championships, secured a place and reached the Olympic quarterfinals in the single sculls.

3) Bo Thi Khiem (Taekwondo, Son La unit), outstanding performance: winning the gold medal in the women’s 67 kg fighting class at the Asian Taekwondo Championships

4) Nguyen Thuy Linh (badminton, Dong Nai) won the international Vietnam Open tournament and reached the top 30 world, took part in the Olympic competition for the second time in a row with 2 wins.

5) Hoang Thi My Tam (Karate, Ha Tinh) won 1 individual kumite gold medal in the 55kg category and 1 kumite team gold medal at the Asian Championships

6) Nguyen Thi That (bicycle, An Giang) won silver in the Asian Road Cycling Championships

7) Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen (Volleyball, LPBank Ninh Binh) won 3rd place in the FIVB Challanger Cup, won the AVC Challanger Cup with the national team and came second in the Asian Women’s Club Championship with the LPBank Ninh Binh Club.

8) Trinh Thu Vinh (shooter, People’s Police) won the gold medal in the 10m mixed air pistol competition at the Asian Championships and took 4th place at the Olympics

*Male Athlete of the Year

1) Tran Quyet Chien (three-cushion billiard carom, Ho Chi Minh City) won the Bogota World Championship and the Veghel 3 World Championship and won the 2024 World Team Championship.

2) Pham Quang Huy (shooter, Hai Phong) won the gold medal in the 10m mixed air pistol competition at the Asian Championships and 5 gold medals at the national outstanding shooter award

3)Le Tuan Minh (chess, Hà Nội) won the individual bronze medal in the third table of the Olympiad

4) Le Duc Phat (Badminton, Army) won the Lagos International Classics tournament and qualified for the Olympics with a win

5) Nguyen Van Khanh Phong (Gymnastics, Ho Chi Minh City), outstanding achievement: winning the silver medal at the Asian Championships, 3 gold medals at the National Championships

6) Le Quoc Phong (Archery, Vinh Long) 4th place at World Cup Incheon, semi-final at World Cup Antalya and qualification for the Olympic Games.

7)Hoang Nguyen Thanh (athletics, Binh Phuoc) broke the national marathon record after 21 years, won the national championship and secured a place in the Berlin Marathon.

8) Lai Gia Thanh (weightlifting, Hanoi) won 1 gold medal and 2 World Championship bronze medals

*Young athlete of the year:

1) Dang Thi Hong (volleyball, Thái Nguyên) won the bronze medal with the club at the national A-class tournament, the silver medal at the national U.23 tournament, the gold medal at the national youth club tournament and secured a place with the club at the U.21 World Cup U.20 national team.

2) Nguyen Thi Huong (Canoeing, Vinh Phuc) 1 silver medal at the Asian Championship, 3 gold medals at the U23 Asian Championship

3) Banh Gia Huy (Chess, Hanoi) won the national championship in standard chess, qualified as an International Master and joined the Vietnamese Olympic team at the age of 15.

4) Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen (Badminton, Dong Nai) Silver medal at the U15 Asian Youth Championship

5) Pham Le Asian Tournament.

8) Nguyen Thi Nhi Yen (athletics, Long An) won the silver medal in the Asian U20 and competed in the Olympics

*Outstanding Disabled Athlete of the Year:

1) Le Van Cong (weightlifting, Ho Chi Minh City unit) 2024 Paralympic bronze medal in the 49 kg category

2) Le Tat Dat (Swimming, Ho Chi Minh City) placed 100th in the 2024 Paralympic 4m Breaststroke

3) Do Thanh Hai (Swimming, Ho Chi Minh City) placed 100th in the 2024 Paralympic 5m Breaststroke

4) Pham Thi Huong (Hanoi, Chess for the Disabled) 4th place at the World Chess Championship for the Blind

5) Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan (weightlifting, Ho Chi Minh City) placed 5th in the women’s 55kg category at the 2024 Paralympic Games.

*Coach of the Year

1) Nguyen Thi Bac (National Athletics Coach) coached and led the women’s team to win the gold medal in the 4x400m relay event at the Asian Relay Championships

2) Doan Kim Chi (coach of Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Football Club) led Ho Chi Minh City 1 Club to win the 13th National Championship; Together with Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Club 1, they performed excellently at the AFC Champions Women’s 2024/25.

3) Luu Van Hoan (coach of the national canoe team) trained and led his students to win 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal at the Asian Championships, 6 gold medals at the Youth and U.23 Asian Championships and win an Olympic place.

4) Nguyen Tuan Kiet (head coach of the women’s national volleyball team) coached and led the Vietnamese national team to win the AVC Challenger Cup and 3rd place in the FIVB Challenger Cup.

5) Duong Hoang Long (head coach of the national karate team) trained and guided his students to win 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal, and placed second in the entire team at the 2024 Asian Championships

6) Le Quang Thai (National Weightlifting Coach for People with Disabilities) trained and guided athlete Le Van Cong to win the Paralympic bronze medal

* Outstanding Foreign Expert of the Year

1) Park Chung Gun (Korea, national shooting team) trained and led his students to win the gold medal at the Asian Championship in 01, took 01st place and took 4th place at the Olympic Games.

2) Park Chae Soon (Korea, national archery team) trains and guides students to win two Olympic berths and two bronze medals at the Asian Youth Championships.

* Team of the Year

1) The women’s national volleyball team won the AVC Challenger Cup continental championship, took third place in the FIVB Challenger Cup world tournament and secured a place to participate in the 2025 World Cup.

2) The beach handball team took 9th place at the Asian Championships and thus qualified for the World Games 2025

3) LPBank Ninh Binh Women’s Volleyball Club won the silver medal in the Asian Women’s Club Awards

4) The Saigon Heat Club successfully defended the championship of the Vietnam Professional Basketball Tournament (VBA), also a miracle, by winning five championships in a row.

5) Vietnam’s U.20 women’s indoor volleyball team finished 20th at the U.5 Asian Tournament and secured a spot at the 2025 U.21 World Cup.

6) The Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Football Club won the national championship for the 13th time, including six in a row, and played brilliantly in the AFC Champions League.

* Teammate of the Year:

1) The women’s 4x400m track and field relay (Quach Thi Lan, Nguyen Thi Hang, Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Hoang Thi Minh Hanh) won the gold medal at the Asian Relay Championship in 01

2) The rowing team (Nguyen Thi Giang, Phan Thi Thao, Pham Thi Ngoc Anh, Le Thi Hien, Ha Thi Vui, Dinh Thi Hao, Pham Thi Hue, Du Thi Bong, Luong Thi Thao) won the gold medal at the domestic Asian Championships in Use boat 8.
