Another star joins the Dodgers

At this rate, the Los Angeles Dodgers will be impossible to stop. Indeed, the most recent World Series champions reached an agreement with pitcher Blake Snell on Tuesday.

The two-time Cy Young trophy winner has signed a $182 million, five-year deal with the California club, according to ESPN insiders Jeff Passan and Jorge Castillo.

Last year, Snell went 5-3 while maintaining a 3.12 ERA in 104 innings pitched with the San Francisco Giants. The 31-year-old athlete could have continued his adventure with the club, but he decided to use his departure clause included in his contract to join the Dodgers.

Snell began his career with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2016, before being traded to the San Diego Padres in 2021.

In 211 starts, Snell had 76 wins and 58 losses with the three clubs mentioned above, in addition to having an earned run average of 3.19.

Thus, the left-hander will join a rotation of starters which could also include Shohei Ohtani in 2025, if he is able to pitch after spending a year away from the mound.
