President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that as a child he loved to play football.
On Thursday, Lukashenko held a meeting with football players of the Minsk club at the Traktor stadium in the capital of Belarus.
— When I was a child, I slept with a ball from school. I sewed and equipped the gate myself. I really wanted to play football – I didn’t drink, I didn’t smoke. At school I was taught to play football, volleyball and basketball, and ski. We did a lot of sports,” the Telegram channel “Pul Pervogo” quotes Lukashenko as saying.
The Belarusian men’s team is ranked 97th in the updated rankings of the International Football Federation (FIFA).
