At the end of the second day of the Ibsa NextGen Cup 2024-2025 for Under 19 teams of the sixteen Serie A clubs, group A opened with Vanoli Basket Cremonaundefeated after two days, prevailed 72-79 over the Dolomiti Energia Trento (record 0-2), then theAllianz Derthona Tortona (1-1 record) take off in the fourth quarter and overcome the Napoli Basketwinless after two races. In the next two challenges, the extra Pistoia Basket (2-0 record) set theAcademy Basket Scafati by 69-91, while the hosts of Basketball Varese (1-1 record) were defeated by Virtus Emilbanca Bologna (2-0 record) with a score of 68-91.
In group B, however, the day opened with the 67-81 success ofEA7 Emporio Armani Milanowith full marks, on NutriBullet Treviso Basket (record 1-1) and with the confirmation of Pollen Brescia (2-0 record) victorious 76-83 over Umana Reyer Venezia still without any successes. Then, the Unahotels Reggio Emilia (1-1 record) swept the Basketball Trieste 2004 (1-1 record) with a score of 64-102; finally, the Bank of Sardinia Sassari (1-1 record) won by a landslide 113-44 against Trapani Shark (record 0-2).

An excellent first quarter is not enough for the red and white Under 19 team to do an “encore” at the Next Gen Cup. The boys of Stefano Comuzzo they bend in front of the Unahotels Reggio Emilia with a score of 64 –102, despite a more than solid start.
The match, in fact, starts with a very good impact from Trieste, who with the liveliness of Di Rienzo and the trio points Martucci, Paiano e Warriors manages to put hay in the farmhouse to earn +9 after ten minutes. Unahotels’ response, however, is vehement. In the second half, the Reggio Emilia team continued to maintain an excellent advantage, while the performances of one were not enough for Trieste Paiano 15 points and 7 rebounds, but also 6 turnovers and Warriorswith 11 points in 18 minutes. Little to say for this match, except that Reggio continues to widen its margin until it reaches the final +38 in a match that drags on tiredly until the siren of the fortieth minute.
