The Athlos club stands out on several fronts by participating in five sporting events, including a tournament held in Tokyo (Japan).
The city of Tokyo, Villanueva de la Vera in the province of Cáceres, As Pontes in A Coruña and the cities of Huelva and Vigo were the sporting venues in which Athlos athletes competed.
Athlos stands out on several sporting fronts
The celebration of the HULIC DAIHATSU, an international para-badminton competition, was represented by Athlos players Manuel G. Rosendo, Mireia Hermida and Daniel García.
This competition, held between October 22 and 27, was a highly demanding test in which the Athlos players showed a high level. The difficulty of the competition prevented them from fighting for medals.
Top Master N2 Absolute
The province of Cáceres hosted the Top Master N2 Absolute in which the players Ana Nóvoa and Antonio Iglesias participated. Both players showed good form during their participation, with Antonio Iglesias achieving an outstanding fifth place in the men’s singles.
Galician U13 Championship
Closer to home, in the city of Vigo, the Galician U13 Badminton Championship was held with a large representation of Athlos. Under the supervision of coach Sara Ezquerro, ten players competed against the best athletes of their age.
The delegation, formed by: Leah Freire, Tayri Fernández, Daniela Fernández, Helena Vieira, Julia Rodriguez, Ye Yao, Hugo Blanco, Ibai Baltar, Gabriel Sanchez and Daniel Fernández won three valuable medals.

Top Master N2 Senior
The town of As Pontes was the place where Dolores Sarmiento, Fco Javier Galicia and Jorge Vidal continued to increase their already extensive medal table. With one silver and three bronze medals, the Athlos Club players demonstrated their high level within this category.

Master N4 Sub15-19
The fifth competition in which we were able to find Club Athlos participation was the N4 Master that took place in Huelva for the U15 and U19 categories.
David Casas, Adrián Seijo, Daniel Álvarez, Antón González and Mariña González attended this sporting event accompanied by their coaches Sara Galicia and Laura Valverde. With two bronze medals, the Athlos representation returned to Ourense with a good taste in its mouth.
