Outstanding Performance in Badminton

The Evita 2024 National Sports Games, held in Mar del Plata, concluded with great success, and badminton from Avellaneda stood out among the delegations from the province of Santa Fe. The young athletes from Avellaneda left the name of the city high, standing out in the discipline and contributing to the second overall place obtained by Santa Fe in the national competition.

Victoria Raffin became one of the protagonists by achieving second place in the women’s singles category, after an exciting final that was defined in three sets against the representative of Mendoza.

For their part, Genaro Nardín and Helena Chávez, in the mixed doubles category, reached tenth place, and Benjamín Torres, in singles, placed 13th.

These young talents from Avellaneda showed their skill and passion for the sport, consolidating their place on the podium and demonstrating the growth of badminton in the region.

The province of Santa Fe took more than 250 athletes to the Evita Games, who achieved qualification through more than 250 local, departmental and provincial qualifying events. The Santa Fe athletes competed in 32 disciplines, of which badminton was one of the most celebrated due to the outstanding performance of the Avellaneda representatives.
