Javier Alberola Rojasof the Castellano-La Mancha Committee, has been the referee designated by the Technical Committee of Referees of the Royal Spanish Football Federation to whistle this Sunday, November 3, starting at 9:00 p.m., the match between Real Betis and Athletic in the stadium of San Mamés. It will be a duel on the twelfth day of LaLiga EA Sports in which those from Heliópolis want to maintain their good line after beating Osasuna and Atlético de Madrid consecutively in the previous games.

With Alberola Rojas, Betis has a record of six wins, eight losses and two draws in the 16 games in which they have met. In the current 2024-25 campaign, the man from La Mancha led the Real Madrid – Real Betis which ended with 2-0. In that match there were two controversial plays such as Courtois stomps Aitor just start and Vinicius’s swimming pool which was awarded as a penalty to make it 2-0. The Verdiblancos have not won with this referee since February 2023 when they beat Almería 2-3.

With Alberola Rojas, Betis has visited the club on two previous occasions. San Mamés stadium and obtained terrible results, given that they lost 2-0 in the 2017-18 season and fell 4-0 in 2020-21 in what was Betis’ most resounding defeat under Manuel Pellegrini.
