The TG badminton department started the 2024/25 season with four senior teams and one student team. Two Camberg teams start here in the Wiesbaden district league. The first team got off to a sparkling clean start and are leading the table after four wins in five games. The second team has one win and one draw after three games – which means the team is currently at the bottom of the midfield. However, in view of the remaining two match days and the entire second half of the season, a lot is still possible in the tight rankings.

In the District League A, TG Camberg III is still waiting for its first win – but only 3 match days have been completed. So there are still a few opportunities to collect points for the table.

The fourth team has only managed one win in four games so far. With two narrow defeats, this is still a good start for the young team, in which some players are playing their first season, and gives hope for the rest of the season.

There is great joy in the department about setting up a student mini-team that only plays six games per match day instead of the usual eight. For the team, led by youth coach Pauline, the focus is less on results than on gaining initial experience in rounds.

At the beginning of the season in September, our team players were able to take advantage of a special training offer. Our trainer Sebastian had organized two days of training in the hall to work on running and hitting technique as well as tactics for the season. Of course, fun and games were not neglected either.

Even beyond this offer, the department is currently pleased with the great response to training. Some hobby players in particular are currently using the training time to enjoy badminton. Thanks to our department member Daniel, the practice times were revived on Mondays and Thursdays for beginners and parent-child training from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. At this point we would like to thank the entire team of trainers in the department, who invest the time every week to plan and carry out appropriate training sessions.

Regardless of whether you are a professional, a beginner or a returner – anyone who is interested in swinging the racket is always welcome. The current training times and contact persons can be found on the left side of the page.
