Sport
Lieshout – Badminton Club Lieshout is not only there for its members. They would like to show as widely as possible that badminton really is a sport for everyone. To demonstrate this, they organize various (side) activities. For example, the association has held a buddy tournament where badminton players can bring an acquaintance to introduce him/her to badminton. The association also held a clinic for the staff of Donkey daycare center, allowing them to become acquainted with badminton sport in general and Badminton Club Lieshout in particular.
For many years now, Badminton Club Lieshout has been trying to contribute to activating people. They would like to point out that exercise is healthy and that fitness really contributes to a better feeling. And, badminton is one of the sports that is available for young and old and can be practiced at all levels. From beginner to professional: badminton can really be played at all levels and is therefore ideal for anyone who wants to get some exercise.
Clinic
Donkey daycare center also introduced its staff to the sport of badminton during the study day. Badminton Club Lieshout held a clinic for them in which the participants were first taught some basic principles of badminton, then some technical exercises were done and finally the participants played a real tournament. The organization even had a nice cup ready for the winner. What was more important, however, was that the participants were active and sporty and, above all, had a lot of fun. Badminton has also proven to be a fun sport for them.
Buddy Tournament
To introduce others to the sport of badminton (and Badminton Club Lieshout), the association also organized a buddy tournament, where the members of the association could bring an acquaintance with whom they played a tournament together. In this way, you can become acquainted with the sport of badminton easily and in an accessible manner and – with the help of the buddy – you can immediately learn some tricks.
Try badminton
Try-out badminton is also one of the activities that Badminton Club Lieshout organizes to make badminton more widely known. Participants are introduced to the sport of badminton at the start of the season through a targeted beginners course (of 10 training days). The association offers this training for a minimal fee to keep the threshold as low as possible and to give everyone the opportunity to participate. This season has also shown that there is plenty of interest in this beginners course.
