Veckerhagen – The Waldecker badminton youngsters were completely convincing at the last district rankings of the year in Veckerhagen. TV Volkmarsen achieved great success, especially among the youngest. TSV Korbach won eight medals with its twelve participants – six of them were traveling to an “away tournament” for the first time – and had three winners. A great atmosphere makes the TSV supervisors Kai and Ortwin Terörde “want to do more with the great team”.
U 9: All podium places in the Kugelsburgstadt: After a 40-minute three-set battle, Malte Sättler prevailed against Emil Böhme, Jonas Reinhold came third after strong performances. All three have proven with their progress in the game that they will be a force to be reckoned with in the U11 next year.
U 11: Among twelve participants, Linus Rose and Felix Heinemann confidently advanced to the semi-finals. In the club’s internal duel, Linus lived up to his role as favorite in a great game. In the final, Linus was only able to stand up to his strong opponent Chenyi Cai from Niederhochstadt in the first set, losing in two sets, which meant the silver medal. Felix Heinemann fought bravely against Constantin Czisch (TSV Vellmar), but like his clubmate had to admit defeat – fourth place.
U 13: After an opening win, Ben Heinemann lost in three sets against his long-term rival Julian Reinhardt from the host VfL Veckerhagen in the quarter-finals due to a lack of length in the clears. After two more victories, he won the consolation round.
From Korbach’s perspective, Lia Trebtau impressed with third place; She left her TSV comrades Lana Trebtau Alma Deutschendorf and Greta Beck behind her. A strong, fighting performance led Diego Pena Gomez to third place. He became the best in the Kassel district. After losing the first game, Linus Meyne won all the remaining games and came ninth.
U 15: Ronja Weber from TSV Korbach was happy about a good third place, while clubmate Bjarne Grebe came seventh.
U 17: Three clear two-set wins brought Keanu Witt from TSV Korbach victory. Mira Lambion from TV Volkmarsen came tenth. Alicia Schön had bad luck and was eliminated in the quarterfinals against the eventual winner Urrigshardt (Dortelweil). She then achieved seventh place in the consolation round after a defeat and a victory over third-placed player Bigge.
U 19: The Volkmarser Julian Rose had to admit defeat clearly in the semi-final, his club mate Jannis Lambion lost in the worst possible way after an outstanding performance with 18:21, 21:15, 20:22 against the eventual winner and top favorite Eluvathingal (TSV Vellmar ). In the club’s internal game for third place, Julian Rose emerged victorious.
In doubles, the two friends and training partners made it to silver. Lara Schön didn’t have her best day and lost twice after her first round victory – ending up in eighth place. Things went better together with her sister in doubles: Lara and Alicia Schön made it onto the podium in third place.
At his first “away tournament”, Darius Sälzer from Korbach won his first game and ultimately took eighth place in the U19 category, which was good for him. Lisa-Marie Mitze played confidently against her long-term rival Emilie Fedderke (Vellmar), where she unfortunately lost again in the third set.
In the doubles, Keanu Witt competed with Darius Sälzer in the U19. A difficult three-set win took them to the semi-finals, where they were clearly defeated. They took third place without a fight.
Lisa-Marie Mitze played her way into the final against Ruge/Fedderke (Vellmar) with Jette Geißler from Veckerhagen in the U19 after a clear and a very narrow win. There they prevailed with 21.15, 22:20 and won the title.
U22: Kai Terörde only needed four sets against his “old rivals” Ole Häring (Volkmarsen) and Moritz Thielemann (Vellmar) to reach the top of the podium. red
