Metjendorf – The badminton players from TV Metjendorf are in a class of their own in the Lower Saxony League. On Sunday, the league leader from Ammerland celebrated victories nine and ten in Hanover. The Metjendorfers didn’t give their pursuers from SG Gifhorn/Nienburg III (7:1) and VfL Grasdorf (6:2) a chance.
Against SG Gifhorn/Nienburg III, only two of the eight games went over three sets. The doubles Nico Grosser/Andreas Karnbach, Diajeng Atmojo/Kira Veldmann and Atmojo/Tim Stuckenschneider celebrated clear victories. Karnbach, Grosser and Juchim followed suit in the individuals. Cattareya Paschke won the honorary point for the SG in three sets against Anja Katharina Duda.
Metjendorfer’s 6-2 win against VfL Grasdorf was similarly clear. This time Juchim/Stuckenschneider, Atmojo/Stuckenschneider and Veldmann, Grosser and Juchim were successful in the individuals. There was also a win without a fight in the first men’s doubles.
The Ammerlanders are in action twice more this year. On December 15th, the Metjendorfers will travel to Drage to compete with TuS Schwinde (seventh place) and SG Brietlingen/Adendorf (tenth place).
