Both defeated (2-6) on the last day, Metz BSMB, fifth in N2, and Basse-Ham, fourth in N3, will have their work cut out for them against the leaders of their group, ASPTT Strasbourg and Colmar.
Metz
“In Krembs, the match had just started and a player had vagal discomfort,” explains coach Florent Thibot. “So we had to replace it, it wasn’t what we had imagined. We hoped to be more present in certain matches but it did not happen against a good team, in full force and the result is logical. There, in Strasbourg, we will be deprived of our two number 1s, lady and man. Even if reports say that our opponents will also have some unavailability, it will be complicated facing the ASPTT reserve. It would be good to get things back on track, a third setback in a row wouldn’t be great. »
Bass Ham
“Overall, we had a good start to the season,” assures coach Maxime Blondel. “If I had been told this before departure, I would have signed. Now every draw was close and could have been a win or a loss. In the return matches, the continuation will be played against the direct opponents. For Saturday, on paper, leader Colmar is superior. If we manage to grab a few points, that would be a bonus. »
