Linda Efler from 1.BC Bischmisheim reached the double semi-finals at the Badminton Open in Saarbrücken. For Marvin Seidel and Daniel Hess, however, it was over in the quarterfinals.
Linda Efler from 1.BC Saarbrücken-Bischmisheim won the double quarter-finals at the Badminton Open in the Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken together with Thuc Phuong Nguyen from 1. BC Wipperfeld. On Friday they met Scotland’s Julie Macpherson and Ciara Torrance, whom they defeated in straight sets.
Efler and Nguyen won the first set 21:11. They won the second set 21:14 to the duo Efler/.
Seidel and Hess eliminated
Marvin Seidel and Daniel Hess from 1.BC Bischmisheim, however, were eliminated in the quarterfinals. They competed together in doubles for the first time. On Friday they lost to the Danes Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard in two sets.
The two Germans narrowly lost the first set 19:21. Seidel and Hess had to give up the second set to the Danish doubles with 17:21. The Badminton Open in the Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken runs until Sunday.
