Badminton youth tournament in Mörsch – TV Helmsheim

A lot of participants were there for the ranking tournament on October 20th. reported in Mörsch: a total of 120 children and young people. We were also there with 5 participants. For the first time, Anna Paulina, Anton, Jakob, Philip and Samuel were able to prove themselves in a major tournament. The boys competed in the U11 age group, Anna Paulina in the U13 age group. It’s amazing how many great, exciting games came about. It’s obviously good for everyone to compete against opponents you don’t yet know from training. Here and there, close games have been lost at the crucial moment – and sometimes it was believed to be safe. But everyone was able to gain success and self-confidence.

In the end, Anna Paulina, who got better and better game after game, was able to celebrate a great 5th place. Congratulations!

Samuel took 9th place among the boys, losing only one game. Jakob had many great, close and competitive games and came 12th. As our youngest player, Anton was in good form and had to give up a lot of close games at the end. Hats off to how he kept up with the often older and bigger guys and ended up in 16th place. Philip met a very good opponent in his first game and was only able to finish in one of the bottom places, but he showed his morale and fought for a victory in his last game.

Congratulations – that was a tournament and an achievement to build on.
