Antananarivo, November 29, 7:05 a.m. – The Ankoay men and women know their respective opponents at the Africa Cup 2024. Among the men, Madagascar is in group B with Benin, Seychelles, Uganda and Mauritania. For the ladies, the Big Island is in group A with Egypt and Uganda.
The men’s selection will begin this 3×3 African Basketball Cup against the Benin team, according to the schedule established by Fiba Africa. Then, the protégés of Jean De Dieu Randrianarivelo and Eli Mickaël Rakotonirina will face the Seychellois for their second match this Friday.
Elly Randriamampionona and her teammates will only return to the Mahamasina Sports and Culture Palace pitch, which will be covered in a 3×3 stadium, on Saturday. They will play their last two group matches against the Ugandans and the Mauritanians.
Among the women, the Ankoay will only play two matches for the group stage. The Malagasy women’s team will face the Uganda team on Friday during the first day then that of Egypt during the second day, Saturday.
To see these Ankoay matches for this Africa Cup 2024, entry to the Palais des Sports is set at 5,000 ariary at the stands. On the other hand, for the stands around the field, the price was set by the FMBB at 20,000 ariary for the first two days and 30,000 ariary for the third day.
