ISTANBUL (TSA)- Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring and Beşiktaş faced each other in the 9th week of the ING Women’s Basketball Super League. The yellow-red team won the match played at BJK Fibabanka Sports Complex with a score of 74-71 and increased its winning streak to five. Two players of the yellow-red team scored double-digit points in the match that started with Julie Vanloo, Gökşen Fitik, Cecilia Zandalasini, Brianna Fraser and Yueru Li. Fraser became Galatasaray’s top scorer with his performance of 23 points and 9 rebounds. Vanloo finished the match with 15 points and 5 assists. While Beşiktaş had a 17-14 advantage in the first quarter, the black and white team increased the difference in the second period and went to the locker room with a 41-31 advantage. The guest team put its emphasis on the match in the second half, prevailing 25-20 in the third period, and closed the handicap in the last quarter with outside shots in the last part. The yellow-red team managed to hold the opponent to 10 points in defense and won the match 74-71.
