Basketball in the NBA: Franz Wagner towers over the top, Schröder’s throw wobbles

The German national basketball player Franz Wagner led the Orlando Magic to their fifth win in a row in the NBA with another top performance.

In the 98:86 win against the Philadelphia 76ers, the 23-year-old scored 31 points and missed his season’s best by just one point.

Orlando, which still has to make do without its injured top star Paolo Banchero, is in third place in the Eastern Conference with eight wins and six defeats.

The game against the 76ers was also counted as the second game of the league’s internal NBA Cup competition; Orlando won game one against Charlotte.
