Sports activity is gradually returning to normal. This morning, the Valencian Community Basketball Federation (FBCV) reported the decision to resume the competition on the day scheduled for this coming weekend. A decision they make “aware of the difficulties, but convinced of taking steps towards the recovery of normality after the disaster caused by DANA.”
In this way, it is expected that the Ontinyent Basketball Club teams that depend on the FBCV (all except the male Eset Ontinet) will resume the league this Fira weekend. Even so, as the federation explains, there are “many clubs directly or indirectly affected that will not be able to resume normal sporting activity immediately” and that is why some rivals may not be able to compete and some of the matches may have to be modified.
As for the men’s Eset Ontinet, the Tercera FEB depends on the Spanish Basketball Federation. Initially, next weekend’s meetings are not postponed, although we will have to wait for official confirmation. And in the case of Eset Ontinet, on Sunday they should visit CB Alginet, a club that has seen its facilities seriously affected.
