The badminton players at BC Pfaffenhofen/Scheyern can look back on a successful home game day. The first team celebrated two 7-1 wins against BC Munich III and ESV Munich and climbed to third place in the district league. The second team also celebrated a clear success.
The Pfaffenhofen women excelled in both duels for the first team: Julia Bauer and Xin Chen won both their singles, doubles and mixed matches. In addition, the men’s doubles were convincing: Jan Speer and the returnee Julian Schulte achieved two secure victories. Emil Ecker and Christian Cervino also celebrated two clear successes. Speer and Ecker were also successful in their individual duels. Only in the third men’s singles did BC Pfaffenhofen come away empty-handed twice. Christian Cevino played exciting sets with his opponents, but narrowly lost both his game against 1. BC Munich and the one against ESV Munich.
The second team in the district class also had reason to celebrate. The BCP laid the foundation for the clear 6:2 win against the bottom team from Eichstätt in the doubles. Franz Knadler/Niklas Schmeilzl, Aldelta Putra/Aakash Asokan and Julia Speer/Aurelia Bensch celebrated clear victories. Knadler and Putra achieved further success in the first and third men’s singles as well as the mixed Asokan/Bensch.
“This is exactly how we imagined the home game day would be for both teams,” said BCP spokeswoman Julia Bauer. “The return of regular player Julian Schulte in particular had a positive impact. We are proud that both teams are now in third place.”
The BCP continues on December 15th in Germering against the host SV and SG DJK-TV Ingolstadt. The second team will also meet Neufahrn and SG DJK-TV Ingolstadt III on the 15th.
