After another devastating defeat, Matt Eberflus is fired by the Chicago Bears.
Thanksgiving is a special holiday in America. When it was time to say thank you, the Chicago Bears literally decided to thank their head coach. The coach, who arrived in 2022 from the Indianapolis Colts, ends his mandate with a negative record of 14 victories for 32 defeats.
Considered a defensive guru, Matt Eberflus has done a decent job in his area. Chicago’s defense under his regime improved from 32nd and last place to 9th in the NFL (2022 to 2024) in terms of points conceded. However, the coach failed in his role as manager. He never knew how to give confidence to his young quarterbacks, Justin Fields and Caleb Williams. The offensive coordinators have also come and gone, Shane Waldron notably left the franchise a little earlier in the season.
