Beating in Santa Domenica Talao, mayor Lucchesi’s solidarity with the victim and his family

Holy Sunday Talao, 21 November 2024 – The news of the beating that took place in Santa Domenica Talao in recent days has generated numerous reactions, with solidarity towards the young victim, among others, also that of the mayor Alfredo Lucchesi. The mayor of the village also intervened on what happened with an official note, ready to contribute to clarifying what happened, by any means. Alfredo Lucchesi writes in a short note: “As mayor of Santa Domenica Talao and on behalf of the entire administration, I express solidarity with the family and the boy who was the victim of a serious act of violence in our territory a few evenings ago.

In the certainty that the Public Prosecutor’s Office will do everything necessary to bring those responsible for this act to justice, we reiterate our complete availability to the police, within our sphere of competence, to help clarify the facts”. The facts, under investigation by the carabinieri of the local station based in Scalea, are based on the declarations of the young victim of the beating and on the discovery, on the spot, of a knife, and of the car with its windows and bodywork smashed. The story is particular and has generated wide reactions among the population who are obviously not willing to accept implications of this kind. From what has emerged it appears to be a love story, which ended previously, and which only began later with the young man from the nearby center of Papasidero.
