Behobia Txiki: All practical information for participants and parents

The Behobia Txiki, the popular race for girls and boys between 4 and 13 years old, will once again be the best appetizer of the Behobia – San Sebastián this Saturday. The Anoeta mini-stadium will be the space that will host the different events in which 3,000 little runners will participate, starting at 3 p.m.

All participants will receive a commemorative medal at the end of their test and a snack will be served for all of them. The organization remembers that in order to avoid crowds, each girl or boy must be accompanied by only one adult.

Those who have not yet collected their number can do so until 1:00 p.m. this Saturday in the Anoeta area.

The Behobia Txiki will be held on the afternoon of this Saturday, November 9, starting at 3 p.m. and will have five different categories depending on the age of the participants:

  • 4-5 years: 200 meter course

  • 6-7 years: 200 meter course

  • 8-9 years: 400 meter route

  • 10-11 years: 800 meter route

  • 12-13 years: 1,200 meter route

The race will take place on a track, and each boy or girl will be able to enter accompanied by “only one responsible adult.” At the end of each round, all participants will receive a commemorative medal and enjoy a snack.



Practical information for participants and parents

– The start time of each category is specified in the official race information.

– It is important that boys and girls arrive with enough time to pick up their race number and warm up before the race.

– It is recommended to wear clothing and sports shoes appropriate for the activity.

– Parents or guardians must sign an authorization so that minors can participate.

– Parents or guardians are recommended to remain in the areas designated for the public during the race.

Behobia Txiki also has a solidarity character in this edition, as it collaborates with Aspanogi, the Association of Families of Minors with Cancer of Gipuzkoa. This non-profit entity offers psychosocial care to children with cancer and their families, both in the hospital and outside of it.

In any case, the organization of the Behobia – San Sebastián remembers that this festival for boys and girls is “an excellent opportunity for the little ones to get started in the world of athletics and enjoy a sports day in a festive atmosphere and, at the same time time, contribute to a charitable cause as important as Aspanogi.
