Beninati re-elected president of the Italian Badminton Federation

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Starting again from the results obtained at the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics and confirming them, investing in training and development in the area. These are the main points of the program of Carlo Beninati, confirmed at the helm of the Italian Badminton Federation for the third consecutive mandate after obtaining 85.5% of the votes in the elective assembly held in the Coni Hall of Honour. “We want to consolidate and strengthen the presence of Italian athletes at Olympic level, confirming the men’s qualification (after the first, historic, obtained with Giovanni Toti, ed.) and preparing the qualification in the women’s singles”, the words of Beninati, who explained that with Toti and with Rosa De Marco’s participation in the Paris Paralympics “a line was drawn”. Not just high level, because “the federation’s commitment will be in many sectors, one above all training, which also includes the training of technicians, match officials and managers of sports associations, as well as development and promotion in the area . We roll up our sleeves to start again with more strength without looking in the mirror, because we have achieved a minimum result compared to what we can achieve by working even harder for the future”, concluded Beninati.
Also present for a greeting was the president of the Paralympic Committee, Luca Pancalli: “From the first hour you accepted the commitment to share the objective with the CIP, achieving the important result of the first qualification for the Paralympic Games. With this commitment you are participating in something much bigger, which is the transformation of the country: giving hope and a smile is sometimes worth more than any medal.”
As regards the federal councilors, Federico Bianchi, Lucia Cannata, Luca Colusso, Francesco Feliziani, Giuseppe Lassandro and Massimo Merigo were elected as managers; at altitude athletes Giovanni Greco and Claudia Nista; at altitude technicians Franca Patrizia Piacentini. Finally, Maurizio Attilio Amadio was elected president of the Board of Auditors.
