Delay Sports ist als einziger Kreisligist ins Achtelfinale des Berliner Landespokals eingezogen. Ein normaler Kreisligist ist der von Influencer Elias Nerlich gegründete Verein aber ohnehin nicht. Als Gegner wurde das wohl größte Los, der BFC Dynamo, gezogen.
Since the influencer club does not have a suitable venue, the clubs agreed to swap home rights. A record number of spectators could be set at the Sportforum Hohenschönhausen next Saturday (November 16th, 1 p.m.).
This season there was the largest crowd in the local Sportforum Hohenschönhausen against league leaders 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig. 3,178 spectators saw the regional league game. This number could now be topped in the cup against district league team Delay Sports.
Regional league team BFC Dynamo is expecting a record number of spectators
The stadium is approved for 4,900 spectators. However, the regional league team is not expecting a sold-out stadium. Over 2,200 tickets have been sold online so far. According to estimates by BFC Dynamo, there will be up to 4,000 spectators in the end. That would mean a record crowd for the current season. More spectators found their way to the Sportforum Hohenschönhausen last season in the league game against FC Energie Cottbus.
It is difficult to give an exact number, especially because of the prominent opponent. Over half a million people follow how the club is doing in the district league on social networks. This means Delay Sports has more followers than 1. FC Union Berlin and Hertha BSC.
Club founder Elias Nerlich, who is known as an influencer, streamer and entrepreneur, even has 1.5 million followers on the platform Instagram. For comparison, BFC Dynamo has a good 14,000 followers. All followers will not make their way to the stadium. The regional league team expects around 1,500 fans of the influencer club. The guest block will also be opened specifically for this purpose.
BFC Dynamo goes into the cup game as clear favorites
In terms of sport, all the facts speak in favor of BFC Dynamo. As a regional league team, BFC Dynamo plays five leagues via Delay Sports, which currently plays in the district league A. Only after-work footballers play for the district league team. However, some of these players were once active as professional footballers.
Junior Torunarigha (including Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, Alemannia Aachen), Sidney Friede (Hertha BSC, Wehen Wiesbaden), Bilal Kamarieh (FSV Mainz 05 II) and Alieu Sawaneh (FSV Frankfurt) are some of them. However, the BFC Dynamo players are still active professionals.
BFC Dynamo vs Delay Sports without live broadcast
There will be no live alternative for all spectators who cannot make it to the Sportforum Hohenschönhausen. The game is neither available on free TV nor in the live stream. The game can only be followed in the live ticker. Remaining tickets will also be available at the box office on the day. A full-paying ticket costs 10 euros, the reduced version for children up to twelve years costs five euros.
