Patna, 13 November. Bihar team was all out for 135 runs in the first innings against host Punjab in Ranji Trophy Elite Group C match from Wednesday i.e. 13th November at IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Ayush Loharuka scored the maximum 63 runs for Bihar. Ayush Loharuka had scored a half-century in the first innings of the match against Madhya Pradesh.
Punjab won the toss and invited Bihar to bat. The initial batting order of Bihar could not hold up and the first five wickets of Bihar fell at the score of just 43 runs. After this, there was a partnership of 39 runs for the sixth wicket and 42 runs for the seventh wicket and Bihar’s score crossed 100.
For Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 13 runs, Piyush 6 runs, Babul 8 runs, Saqibul 3 runs, Vipin Saurabh 0, Ayush Loharuka 63 runs, Sarman Nigrodh 9 runs, Veer Pratap Singh 18 runs, Himanshu Singh scored 6 runs and Shabbir Khan scored one run.
For Punjab, Sukhdeep Bajwa took three wickets, Baltej, Naman Dheer and Mayank Markandey took 2 wickets each and Gurnoor Brar took one wicket. The match was delayed an hour due to weather and then stopped an hour earlier due to bad light. Only 56.2 overs could be played on the first day of the match.
