The NFL season ended early for Dak Prescott from the Dallas Cowboys.
As owner Jerry Jones told the local radio station 105.3 The Fan confirmed, the quarterback will undergo surgery on Wednesday for a partially torn hamstring.
This means that the 31-year-old, who signed a contract extension with the Texans until 2028 in the summer and thus became the highest-paid player in NFL history, will no longer be able to play this season.
Prescott was injured on November 3rd in the Cowboys’ 21-27 loss at the Atlanta Falcons.
After nine games, Dallas has only three wins and six defeats, meaning the play-offs are already a long way off.
