Boccardo Badminton: three first places in the Men’s Singles in Novi

New Ligure – Last internal tournament of 2024 for Boccardo Badminton within the friendly walls of the gym in via Ferrando “Scrivia”, walls that see the athletes sweating all year round, excluding August, to raise the name of Novi high. And also this weekend the results were very satisfactory with three first places in the Men’s Singles out of the four in which a level Challenge is divided. It is Tommaso Trezza who opens the victories by beating the representative of Switzerland (one of the ten nations present on the Novese courts) Fabian Pagani in the Level A final while he fails to repeat himself in the doubles of the same category, combined with his clubmate Ali Nasir, and places on the lowest step of the podium having met in the semi-final the Asian couple made up of the Afghan Masoud and the Indian Awashi, future winners of the category. Ali’s brother, Ahmad, instead wins the all-white derby that the Singles B scoreboard reserved by beating an indomitable Stefano Torielli in the final in the third set, with the result of 22 to 20.
Closing the list of singles winners are Umberto Trucco who beat Nicholas Romano in the Level D semi-final and then Umberto Biestro, both from Speedy & Bad of Montegrosso d’Asti, who will do it again in the Doubles by winning the semi-final which saw Trucco joined by Davide Caligiuri Pedretti.
Another third place in the Double C with Roberto Lucio Scarabello, who together with the Genoese Federico Bianchi (freshly appointed as national federal councilor) were stopped one step away from the final, (which they would later win) by the representatives of the CUS Torino Putortì and Monaco.
The most precious metal is missing for Valentina Avvento who comes third in the Double B, together with the Milanese Helga Paregger, losing to the Turin Martina Benzi and the Ukrainian, with a BC Genova card, Moiseieva while in the Mixed B the final, together with Giuseppe Nobile of the Space of Settimo Torinese, is the prerogative of the Milanese Cecini-De Guzman.
However, it was Alessandro Stan and Camilla Negri who thought to “avenge” the Novese Prof. in the Mixed Doubles Level A they beat the Ukrainian in the final, paired on this occasion with their clubmate Alex Bianchi, thus closing the boys’ poker of gold of president Teodor Stan, three of whom will participate in the Italian Championships which will take place from Friday 21st in Chiari, province of Brescia.
