Manizales, November 9, 2024.- A great basketball game was played at the Coliseo Mayor in the city of Manizales between the women’s quintets from Bogotá and Antioquia, where the capital’s players had a very good demonstration of power in the first and third quarters, but it was not enough for them to defeat the paisas that in the fourth quarter from the three-point shot had the necessary precision to win the game by a score of 60 to 47.

Tomorrow the women’s basketball tournament continues where the Bogotá team will face its counterpart from Norte de Santander, in a match starting at one in the afternoon.

Another of the sports that began was figure skating, with the opening of official training on the track of the Coliseum of the University of Caldas, with a view to arriving in the best shape for the competition that begins tomorrow, Sunday, with the short program and the stay dance, on Monday the long program and free dance will be held, where medalists will be known.

Bogotá has eight skaters, four of which are men and four women, and they are trained by Diego Duque Quinche and Leonardo Parrado, who makes his debut as a coach after having traveled through different national and international tournaments.

The start of karate do was postponed to Monday since not all the delegations have arrived yet, so far Caldas, Valle and Bogotá have been present. It must be remembered that the Bogotá team is made up of 12 karatekas (6 men and 6 women) under the orders of coaches Pablo Ríos and Diana Constanza Muñoz.
