The action, which was planned and promoted by the youth welfare office and the St. Cyriakus provost, is a project to prevent violence, mainly at Berliner Platz.

Berliner Platz in the heart of Bottrop is not exactly known as an oasis of well-being. Not least because of the bus station behind it, there is a lot of activity here, especially among young people. The project is intended to conceptually invalidate terms such as “fear dream” that arose in the past and, since April 2024, to create a space for leisure, exchange and orientation in public space. Clubs are regularly invited to present their sports to participants, including the Bottroper BG.

On November 28th the badminton club is back in the fresh air. The fields are set up between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. All children and young people up to the age of 27 are cordially invited to pick up the bat one last time this year. Instead of on Berliner Platz, the event will take place in the Ehrenpark in hopefully good and not too wintry weather.
