An important investigative activity was conducted by the Carabinieri of Mirabella Eclano, in the province of Avellinowho carefully monitored the web, thus discovering various crimes perpetrated online. The most complex and detailed investigation led the Carabinieri to identify a 23-year-old young man and report him to the competent Judicial Authority for attempted extortion. The 23-year-old, after meeting a boy online, gained his trust, so much so that he sent him messages hot photos: he was thus able to threaten him, making demands on him one thousand euros so as not to publish those intimate images. The investigations by the Carabinieri made it possible to identify the perpetrator of the crime, who was, as mentioned, reported; the military personnel have obscured the accounts involved.
Two young people reported for fraud
The investigations by the Carabinieri of Mirabella Eclano also led to the denunciation of two young people residing in Lombardy, accused of fraud. The two published an advertisement for the sale of a car online, at a particularly advantageous price, thus managing to get paid 8 thousand euros by a 32 year old from Irpinia. The car purchased by the man, however, was registered to a third party, unaware of the affair. The prepaid cards used for the scam have been blocked.
