Riviera Time she went to the gym of Judo & Ju Jitsu Club Sakura Of Weapon of Taggiawhose athletes distinguished themselves in the recent world championships ju-jitsu a Heraklion, in Greece.
Active for 50 years in the discipline of judo, for about twenty Sakura has also been experimenting on its tatami with one of the oldest Japanese martial arts.
The Taggia expedition to Greece, which lasted two weeks, ended with excellent results in the “Fighting System”: two silver medals, won by Diego Secchi in the Masters category -85 kg and from Mattia Salvi in the Under 14 category -69 kg. Also noteworthy is the 5th place of Maya Welcome in the Junior 70 kg category and 9th place Elisa Antellini in the Junior category -63 kg.
For Club Sakura, this was the first competition abroad after reintegration into the international circuit of the Italian Ju Jitsu Federation.
“As a good morning after a long inactivity it was quite challenging – he comments Andrea Molinarimaster of the Sakura Club. – These are very respectable results against athletes who were not there by chance, considering that it was a world competition. We held the qualifiers for the world championships in Ostia and managed to bring 4 out of 4 of them to Greece.
