Brivio: the covered multipurpose structure is almost finished

The construction work on the new covered multi-purpose sports structure in Brivio, inside the “A. Carozzi” municipal sports center, is almost complete. The entirely new and self-supporting work will soon allow sports such as volleyball and <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/01/2021-a-historic-year-for-the-alba-shuttle-badminton-www-ideawebtv-it/” title=”2021: a historic year for the Alba Shuttle Badminton – www.ideawebtv.it”>basketball to be practiced. , badminton and gymnastics.

At the moment the company in charge of the works is completing the finishing of the flooring, heating and lighting system.

During construction, the administration chose to install large sliding side windows which will allow the interior to be illuminated with natural light. The cost of the work thus increased by 130 thousand euros. Initially as a project, the overall cost of the work was 370,000 euros and to cover this expense the Municipality had requested a loan of 220,000 euros from the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. The remaining part was financed with own resources.

In the meantime, the administration is already looking at the next investment. In fact, the intention is to create new changing rooms. “At the moment we have requested estimates” explained the councilor for Public Works, Elisa Rossi. The expected investment is a further 350 thousand euros.

While waiting for the changing rooms, the young people will be able to enjoy the new multipurpose structure which will probably be completed and inaugurated by the end of the year.
