Dodgers reliever Brusdar Graterol is expected to miss the first half of the upcoming 2025 season after undergoing surgery on the labrum in his right shoulder on Thursday, the team announced.
The Dodgers said Graterol is “expected to return to the mound in the second half of the 2025 regular season.”
Graterol’s surgery comes after a 2024 season plagued by shoulder problems, in which he made just seven regular-season starts and missed the first two rounds of the playoffs.
The 26-year-old right-hander was effective in his brief appearances, posting a 2.45 earned run average in the regular season and giving up just one run in three World Series appearances.
His early absence from But he will now miss the start of the upcoming 2025 season further highlights the Dodgers’ need to bolster their bullpen this offseason. Another right-hander, Daniel Hudson, announced his retirement after the World Series.
