A tennis racket like this can be a practical thing. Even off the pitch. At least that’s what Taylor Fritz thought when he was on his recent short vacation in London.
There, the fifth in the world rankings and his girlfriend Morgan Riddle fell victim to a burglary.
At 4 a.m., crooks tried to crack the door code to the couple’s Airbnb apartment. Fritz and Morgan woke up and the American’s first reaction was to resort to self-defense… you guessed it right! …his tennis racket.
Mosquito instead of burglar
Equipped with this, Fritz lay in wait in case the burglar ventured further. However, he fled after his girlfriend Morgan called the emergency number.
“Of all the possible weapons in this house, this man picks a tennis racket!” wrote Morgan Riddle on her Instagram account, where she also revealed how the whole story ended: Fritz killed with his racket while waiting successfully a mosquito.
“Let another burglar dare to mess with him,” friend Morgan commented dryly.
