Ranchi, November 8 (Language) Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) Girish Chandra Murmu inaugurated a sports complex here on Friday.
This complex has been built for the cricket, football and hockey teams of CAG.
CAG has a pool of talented players and its teams compete against the best teams in the country like Railways.
A CAG official said, “…therefore a dedicated centralized sports facility has been created in Ranchi, where teams can practice on a regular basis.”
This facility will be completely dedicated to the promotion of sports, where competitive and not recreational sports can be organised. It will serve as a hub for all ‘outdoor’ sports disciplines, where local players can also practice.
It is proposed to start facilities for ‘indoor’ sports like badminton and table tennis in the near future.
