carried by Garland, the Cavaliers are still undefeated, Curry comes back strong…the results of the night

The Cavaliers and Oklahoma City remain undefeated, Stephen Curry returns well, Boston wins against Atlanta… the results of the NBA night.

The 30 teams in the North American basketball league played this Monday, the eve of a day without a match with the elections, preceded by multiple calls for votes on the various NBA courts.

A huge game from Darius Garland (39 points, 8 assists) allowed the Cleveland Cavaliers to narrowly win against Milwaukee (116-114), for an 8th success in 8 games this season. Trailing by one point in the last minute, the Cavaliers saw Garland respond from afar to a three-point shot from Damian Lillard (36 points, 7 assists), to definitively take the lead.

The Milwaukee Bucks, champions in 2021, are sinking to last place in the East (1 win – 6 losses) but returned to competitive basketball this Monday despite the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, injured in the right side adductor.

Oklahoma City also remained undefeated (7-0) thanks to its easy victory (leading from start to finish) against Orlando (102-86), with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Winning comeback for Curry

After missing three games, injured in an ankle, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry returned for a success in Washington (125-112), the sixth in seven games this season for this team in full renaissance. Curry was spared (24 minutes of play) but still scored 24 points and distributed 6 assists, well assisted by Buddy Hield (20 points).

After a good start, Bilal Coulibaly was finally rather erased (9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists). French rookie Alexandre Sarr was clumsy on the shot (3 out of 10) but effective around the circle with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Boston Domine Atlanta et Risacher

Champion Boston logically dominated Atlanta (123-93) by widening the gap in the second quarter, notably thanks to Jayson Tatum, once again dazzling (28 points including 25 at the break, 6 rebounds, 9 assists), for a record of 7 victories and 1 defeat.

The Frenchman Zaccharie Risacher, No.1 in the draft in June, stood out with some classy actions, notably a lay-up after a fake dunk. Still clumsy shooting (6 out of 15, including 1 out of 6 from distance), Risacher still accumulated 15 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

George runs into Durant

Paul George, who arrived this summer from the Clippers, played his first match with the Philadelphia 76ers, still deprived of Joel Embiid. George compiled 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the wake of Tyrese Maxey (32 points) but lost at the end of the game against the Phoenix Suns (118-116) of Kevin Durant (35 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists) , decisive with the last two baskets of his team.

Frenchman Guerschon Yabusele, who arrived this summer in Philadelphia, stood out with 19 points (5 of 11 from a distance), 7 rebounds and 6 assists, improving his points record in the league which dates from his first stint in the NBA with Boston (2017-2019).

Sabonis décisif, Jokic impérial

Led in Miami, the Sacramento Kings blew away the victory (111-110) thanks to a basket snatched by Domantas Sabonis (16 points, 16 rebounds) after an offensive rebound less than a second from the siren.

Trailing by more than ten points in the last quarter, the Denver Nuggets overthrew Toronto (121-119) thanks in particular to triple MPV (2021, 2022 and 2024) Nikola Jokic, who signed his 133rd triple-double (28 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists).

Gobert wins, Salaün plays

Without talking about the statistics, Rudy Gobert (8 points, 8 rebounds) won with Minnesota against Charlotte (114-93), quickly overtaken. Hornets rookie Tidjane Salaün was thus able to benefit from 24 minutes of play (5 points, 2 rebounds) and Moussa Diabaté from 11 minutes (2 points, 5 rebounds).

With Portland, winner in New Orleans, Rayan Rupert scored 6 points in 18 minutes.
