Sportzprix, a training, talent development and sports coaching start-up based in Hyderabad, India, has launched Casademy, India’s first comprehensive and professional grassroots training programme. In an innovative move, Casademy, and Movistar Estudiantes, has partnered to help revolutionize basketball training in India. Together, they aim to foster young talent and raise the standards of sports training across the country.
This partnership will leverage Casademy’s extensive grassroots training skills and Movistar Estudiantes’ decades of experience developing basketball talent. By working together, elite centers will be created for aspiring players to access world-class resources and mentorship, while contributing to a booming basketball ecosystem in India.
In addition, Movistar Estudiantes will contribute its curriculum, senior coaches and clinics to Casademy programs, while some selected students will be able to train in the Movistar Estudiantes youth academy through an exchange program. Casademy will launch grassroots training centers in gated communities and schools by January 2025 and establish Advanced Centers of Excellence in major cities for high-level training. Talent scouting, testing and support from nutritionists, sports psychologists and conditioning coaches will identify and develop promising players.

Established in 1948, Estudiantes is recognized for its contributions to both professional basketball and youth development, and has one of the largest academies in Europe with more than 4,500 boys and girls in training that has produced world and European champions. Founding member of the Association of Spanish Basketball Teams (ACB), Estudiantes has been supporting women’s basketball for more than 35 years and promoting social inclusion through its Estudiantes Social Projects for more than two decades.
