Champawat. The team is to be selected for the All India Civil Services Tournament 2024-25. District and state level selection trials will be organized before selecting the team.
Giving this information, District Sports Officer in-charge Chandan Singh Bisht said that district level trials of various sports like athletics, badminton, basketball, carrom, chess, hockey, kabaddi, weightlifting, swimming, volleyball, table tennis, kho kho, wrestling, yoga etc. It will be held on 19th and 20th November 2024 at Goral Chaud Ground, Champawat and Sports Stadium, Tanakpur.
He told that the state level selection trials will be held on 29th and 30th November. He also said that officers and employees of the district will be selected to participate in the state level civil services selection trials by the selection committee formed on the basis of selection trials organized at the district level. Only state government personnel (except police and army) will be eligible to participate in the selection trials. He also said that this scheme is for the employees working in all the offices and departments of the government which are under the regulatory control of the state government. Apart from this, Bisht said that it will be mandatory for the players participating in the selection tiles of district/state level civil services to present Aadhar card, permission certificate from head of office, head of department and mobile number, email, personnel ID.
