Changwon City Hall defeated Gyeongsan City Hall 3-2 in the women’s team final of the 3rd Korea Professional Tennis Federation Tournament, which ended at Tennis Park in Yanggu-gun, Gangwon-do on the 17th. Changwon City Hall defeated Jeonbuk Tennis Association 3-2 in the semifinals and then defeated Gyeongsan City Hall, lifting their first championship trophy.

Changwon City Hall coach Kim Dong-wook, who is in his 4th year in office, has accumulated leadership experience through joining as a founding member of Changwon City Hall in January 2002, and has been leading the team since 2021, following former coach Jeon Chang-dae. Changwon City Hall, which emerged as a powerhouse in women’s professional tennis in the 2000s with Lee Eun-jung and Jang Gyeong-mi, is preparing to take a leap forward by gradually improving its performance.

Coach Kim Dong-wook said, “I am grateful to the players who endured the difficult training and followed along. “I would like to thank Park Dong-jin, director of the Culture, Tourism and Sports Department, as well as the officials of the Sports Promotion Department, Gyeongnam Sports Council, and Changwon City Sports Council, who always provided a lot of support for the team,” he said.

Andong City Hall won the men’s team event. Andong City Hall defeated Gyeongsan City Hall 3-1. Andong City Hall also took the top spot in the team competition at a domestic business competition for the first time in 17 years since its founding.
