Chaumont loses against Jastrzebski in the Champions League

Chaumont was no match at home against the Poles of Jastrzebski, a dry defeat in three sets this Wednesday.

Like Saint-Nazaire the day before against Perugia, Chaumont was swept 3 sets to 0 on Wednesday at home by another big name from the Champions Volleyball League, the Poles of Jastrzebski. Beaten in the golden set during the first day in the German hall of Lüneburg after leading two rounds to zero, the Haut-Marnais this time never touched victory, losing largely to the reigning double finalist of the competition (23-25, 18-25, 20-25).

The team of Olympic champions Benjamin Toniutti and Timothée Carle (reserve in Paris, 9 pts including an ace on Wednesday) was superior in all areas of the game, notably in serving (4 aces to 1) and against (6/ 3). Chaumont (1 pt) will travel to the Levski Sofia arena on December 4 to try to win his first match.
