Tonight WWE held a new SmackDown show live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The program featured several matches and segments of interest, highlighting the confrontation between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, and the continuation of the tournament to crown the first United States Women’s Champion in history. During the show, Chelsea Green defeated Blair Davenport and Bianca Belair in a triple threat to advance to the semi-final of the tournament to crown the first United States Women’s Champion. In that combat faces will be seen against Bayley.
The combat was largely dominated by Bianca Belair which carried all the most notable action of the same, while Chelsea Green tried to find her moment to apply the count. Blair came to control for a few moments and the fight became balanced at times with everyone having their moment.
In the final moments, Jade Cargill found unconscious on the hood of a car. Worried, Bianca abandoned the fight to go to the aid of her partner, while Blair surprised Chelsea with a superkick but when she tried to finish off her rival, she escaped from her clutches to surprise her with an Unprettier and win the fight.
After the Chelsea Green celebration, a distraught Belair ran to the ambulance to accompany Jade Cargill to the hospital. Nick Aldis, Naomi and Bayley do not have an answer about what happened and Bianca climbed into the back of the vehicle, which quickly drove to the hospital.
Bayley managed to defeat the champion Speed, Candice LeRae and B-Fab last week, thus advancing to the semifinals of the tournament. The final fight to crown the first United States champion will take place in the long-awaited return of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will take place on December 14 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, New York.
