Chubut obtained 15 gold medals, 17 silver and 9 bronze medals at the Evita 2024 Games

The delegation of more than 350 young athletes from the province returned this Sunday from the Evita National Sports Gameswhich took place in Mar del Plata from November 5 to 9.

They were received by Governor Ignacio “Nacho” Torres and the president of Chubut Deportes, Milton Reyes, as well as other officials of the provincial cabinet and relatives of the young athletes who represented Chubut, who They returned to the province with 15 Gold medals, 17 Silver medals and 9 Bronze medals.

Torres congratulated all the sports, medical and logistics teams that took part so that the province can obtain outstanding representation in sports competition.

Torres highlighted “we are one of the provinces that did best in most disciplines, something we have to be proud of.”adding to this the gratitude “to the teachers, to the Health teams, to those who were working hard to arrive on time with the food and to the Banco del Chubut Foundation for the clothing, which the kids will be able to keep for the next Evita Games.”

During the 76th edition of the Evita National Sports Games, Chubut participated with 350 youth athletes who competed in athletics, badminton, 3×3 basketball, BMX freestyle, boxing, canoeing, cycling, fencing, freestyle, futsal, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, beach handball, field hockey 7, judo, karate, Olympic lifting, wrestling , swimming, rugby 7, skateboarding, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, shooting, archery, triathlon, volleyball and beach volleyball.

The competition also featured seven adapted sport disciplines: athletics, swimming, 3×3 basketball, boccia, goalball, table tennis and sitting volleyball.

It is worth noting that 8 thousand athletes from different parts of the country competed in the different disciplines included in the sub-13, sub-14, sub-15, sub-16 and sub-18 categories (adapted sport).
