SAN VITTORE OLONA – The Cinque Mulini Studentesca celebrates its 29th edition on the cross country fields of San Vittore Olona.
This year, for the second edition in a row, the races were held in the format of mixed relays with 1000 meter legs for each athlete, promoting gender equity. The starting batteries were made up of four athletes alternating between females and males.
The secondary schools were the first to tread the San Vittore fields, divided into two-year and three-year periods. For this edition the schools present at the starting line were: the ISIS Antonio Bernocchi of Legnano, the Istituto Superiore Carlo Dell’Acqua of Legnano, the Liceo Daniele Crespi of Busto Arsizio, the Liceo Galileo Galilei of Legnano and the Liceo Tirinnanzi of Legnano.
For lower secondary schools, three races were held: one for the first classes, one for the second classes and one for the third classes. The participating schools include the San Massimiliano Kolbe Secondary School of Legnano, the ICS Carducci Leopardi of San Vittore Olona, the ICS Carducci Ungaretti of San Giorgio su Legnano, the ICS Bonvesin De La Riva of Legnano, the First Grade Secondary School of the IC Leonardo da Vinci of Nerviano, the Dante Alighieri Secondary School of the IS via dei Salici of Legnano, the IC San Carlo of Inverigo and the IC Fabrizio De Andre’ of Rho.
Despite the thick morning fog, this year too the event was colored by the enthusiasm and participation of children, parents and teachers, always ready to support each other with mutual respect in a climate of healthy sporting competition.
It governs, by a very small margin, the ranking for lower secondary schools the IC Leonardo da Vinci of Nervianofollowed by IC San Carlo di Inverigo in second place e the ICS Bonvesin De La Riva di Legnano to close the podium. Below is the complete ranking.
