The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaumdelivered at the National Palace the National Sports Award 2024 to the athletes, coaches and sports figures who raised the name of the country. The list of winners was headed by the Olympic medalists Osmar Olvera, Juan Celaya, Prisca Awiti y Green Frame.

The winners of the 2024 National Sports Award were:

In the Non-Professional Sports category were the Olympic and Paralympic medalists of Paris 2024: Osmar Olvera and Juan Celaya, from the diving discipline; Prisca Awiti of judo; the boxer Marco Verde; and the para athletes Gloria Zarza and Juan Pablo Cervantes.

In the Professional Sports category, the Pachuca forward was recognized, Charlyn Corral; For the Coaches category, Radamés Hernández, Iván Rodríguez and Martín Velasco received the award. In Sports Career the award went to the recently retired historical diver Alejandra Orozco and the Olympic wrestler Daniel Aceves.

The referee Katia Itzel Garciawho recently whistled the final of the Women’s League, was awarded in the Judge category for her great work and for being in charge of consolidating the presence of women in areas of sports arbitration. In addition to the athletes and coaches, there was also recognition to the Harp Helú Foundation for the Promotion and Promotion of Sports.
