This Monday, a biodiversity summit began in Cali (Colombia), one of the three United Nations COPs held this year, apart from the one on climate change that begins in a few weeks in Baku (Azerbaijan) and another on drought and desertification that will take place in December in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The Colombian event seeks, among other issues, to implement the historic agreement reached two years ago to try to stop the bleeding of species on the planet. Although the starting point is not very hopeful: only 31 of 196 countries have presented their plans for 2030 against biodiversity loss.
