From tomorrow to defend the door of Colornocurrently ranked 14th in Excellence with 9 points, there will be a new guardian. The Parma club signed up a new goalkeeper this morning.
Also joining the department now is Alberto Rossi (born 2003), Genoese by birth, Sampdoria player with football training. Also passing through Parma Calcio – where he played with the Under 18 and Primavera Under 19 teams (until earning 12 call-ups to Serie B under Iachini’s management, ed.), between September 2020 and July 2022 -, the long Ligurian goalkeeper ( He is 192 cm tall) was registered, in adult football, for a Serie C club, Aquila Montevarchi (season ’22/’23), and two Serie D clubs, Manfredonia from Puglia and United Riccione from Romagna ( in ’23/’24). With the first two he had found very little space in championship matches (1 appearance with the Arezzo team, 5 with the Foggia team), while his appearances on the pitch increased in the second part of last season when he moved between the posts of the coastal team Romagna (18 appearances, in addition to the one in the playouts, with 29 goals against).
Whether it will be from tomorrow’s match, in the away match at Arceto di Scandiano, is not yet known. This week Rossi carried out two training sessions at the court of the new coach Cristiani who, in his second match on the yellow-green bench, will have to immediately make a critical decision in an important salvation crossroads (both for Colorno and for Arcetana, ahead by 3 points in ranking): throw the latest arrival into the fray or confirm your trust in the owner Mattia Cattabianione year younger.
The current number one from Colorna – on the pitch in 10 out of 11 matches this season (with 20 goals conceded) – is in his second year of Excellence, after having grown in the last season, thanks also to the supervision of his trainer Bolsi, to to the point of convincing the club to still deserve ownership of the yellow-green goal. The numbers were remarkable: 9 clean sheets and only 32 goals scored in 28 appearances since the start. Rossi’s arrival, however, could overturn the hierarchies between the posts. And with the repair market upon us, it is not certain that the former Tonnotto San Secondo will be able to leave the Colorno door behind and get back into the game elsewhere.
