This Sunday, two of our judokas were in Schweitenkirchen for a graduation course run by the Bavarian Judo Association. Unlike the classic exams in the past, here the point is that many participants (of all possible belt colors) meet each other and, under the guidance of a speaker from the association (in this case Sven Keidel; 6th Dan), go through their entire program together and demonstrate their skills – but also learn from each other and everyone emerges from the course with a small (or large) improvement in certain areas.
And if the overall impression is right, then of course with a new belt!
Incidentally, every judoka on this course also has his home trainer with him, who has the opportunity to extend his license, but also to act as an actual “examiner” for his protégés.
Our two judokas Jens Homfeld and Jakob Reichelt had a relatively short but very intensive preparation time, which paid off. All of her demonstrations went off without a hitch and some of her problem solutions were also used as model solutions.
So it’s clear: Congratulations on your well-deserved 1st Kyu!
By the way, Jakob is a classic Moosburg native from previous children’s courses; Jens, on the other hand, came back to the mat after a long break through our parent-child judo.
