The young woman from Posada won two gold medals and plans new international challenges for 2025

Misiones closed an outstanding participation in the National Judo Closing 2024, held in San Salvador de Jujuy, by obtaining 19 medals and placing seventh in the general medal table. Among the most relevant achievements, the performance of Constanza Núñez, 17 years old, stood out, who won two gold medals and reaffirmed her projection on the national and international circuit.
At just 17 years old, Constanza Núñez once again demonstrated her talent on the tatami. The Posada judoka took gold in the Senior category, repeating the achievement she had already achieved last May. In addition, he added a second gold medal in Junior, despite being a Cadet and competing in a higher category to begin scoring points in his next division.
At the Jujeña Basketball Federation stadium, Núñez won the three scheduled matches in the Senior category, closing his participation with a victory in the final against the representative of Buenos Aires.
This result prepared her for the challenges she will face in 2025, she will compete in the Panama and Peru Opens in search of qualifying for the Pan American Youth Games, which will be held in July in Asunción.
But the missionary performance was not limited to Núñez. Other judokas from the province also took the podium. Gustavo Machado, a native of Puerto Rico, became champion in Junior (-100 kg), while Jarumi Harada, from Oberá, won bronze in Junior (-78 kg). In total, the missionary delegation, made up of 43 competitors, obtained seven golds, three silvers and nine bronzes, reaffirming its growth on the national scene.

In addition to Núñez, the missionary judokas Marcelo Olofsson, Rocío González, Helena Lutz and Lautaro Machado contributed to the provincial medal table with gold medals.
The Clausura 2024 National Championship was the closing of a successful year for missionary judo, which aims to continue growing with a combination of young talent and experience, looking towards new horizons in international competitions.
