Day 6: Nagaland Police Duty-cum-Sports Meet 2024 | MorungExpress

Chymoukedima, November 16 (MExN): The Nagaland Police Meet 2024 (NPM 2024) concluded its sixth day of competition.  The day saw the crowning of champions in the BPET competition, the Motor Transport (MT) competition, badminton singles and doubles, and carbine shooting.

BPET: In the individual BPET competition, Naik Thungtimoba from the 3rd NAP secured the gold medal with a time of 1:03:42. Yongkongsomba (3rd NAP) and Merithung (8th NAP) took silver and bronze, respectively.  The team competition saw the 3rd NAP emerge victorious, followed by the 8th NAP and 12th NAP (IR) in second and third place, respectively.

Motor Transport:  The MT competition saw Marcus securing gold for the 1st NAP.  Dilip Yadav of the 12th NAP (IR) took silver, and RK Herojit Singh of the 13th NAP (IR) clinched the bronze medal.

Badminton:  In the men’s singles badminton event, Immanuel, DySP (Crime), PHQ, secured the gold medal. Dr Kupe Kapfu, SP, Zunheboto, won the silver.  The men’s 45+ doubles saw Anchess Odyou, Commandant, 3rd NAP, and Imtimeren, SP (Mod) taking gold, while Dr Kupe Kapfu and Talisunep, SP, Tseminyu, claimed silver. In the men’s below 45 doubles, Anchess Odyou and Imtimeren won gold, and Akihito, Dy Commandant, 1st NAP and ABI Imtisunep, NAPTC, secured the silver.

Shooting:  The carbine shooting competition at 25 yards (battle crouch) resulted in gold for Ruoviu Kense (NAPTC), silver for Sudhan Maibangsa, 9th NAP (IR), and bronze for Ayiezo Thorie, 13th NAP (IR). At 40 yards (friend & foe), Ruoviu Kense again won gold, with Akhao (6th NAP) and Ipiegwangbe, DEF Mokokchung, taking silver and bronze.  The 50-yard kneeling event saw Sudhan Maibangsa, 9th NAP (IR) taking the gold, Khriekethozo, 7th NAP, winning silver and Ruoviu Kense,NAPTC, claiming bronze. In the 50-yard snap competition, Tulumeren Chang, 12th NAP (IR) won gold, followed by Vitokhu K, 14th NAP (IR) with silver and Megutuo Mere, 4th NAP, with bronze.
