■ What is KAI Challenged Athlete Team?

[画像4: ]In April 2019, we launched the KAI Challenged Athlete Team, a group of para-athletes who not only overcome disabilities but also continue to challenge themselves to reach even greater heights, with the philosophy of being the most challenging athlete team in Japan.
Currently, there are 9 members who are active in the following sports: “Deaf Futsal,” “Deaf Soccer,” “Judo for the Deaf,” “Wheelchair Basketball,” and “Wheelchair Badminton.”
While continuing to train and compete at a high level as a top athlete, I am also involved in in-house training instructors and product development, as well as actively working to raise awareness of parasports through events and trial sessions. To date, we have held trial sessions and parasports championships mainly in Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture, in collaboration with companies, local governments, and educational institutions within and outside the prefecture, and more than 3,000 people have had the opportunity to experience parasports.
